I’m Gone
There’s too much shit clogging my brain
Too many dead souls passing in pain
Too many things for me to try
Too much passing by
I’m Gone
Too many hats for me to wear
Too many styles of underwear
Too many clocks clicking off time
Too many cherries, lemons and limes.
I’m Gone
I’m gonna walk straight through till I’m outta this city
Find me a stream running clear and pretty
Sit under a tree to clear my thoughts
Forget all about the material rot
I’ll never miss my electric guitars
I’ll play a flute under the stars
I won’t need my blue suede shoes
I’ve nothing but a soul to lose.
I’m gone
II. The Mountain
The mountain never shook by the breeze
The mountain rises out of the sea
The mountain sparkles moon glow
The mountain keeps his eyes closed
I shiver in the pouring rain
The mountain never feels the pain
I curse the wind and spit at clouds
He doesn’t bend; he never bows
The mountain sits in darkness
With ne’er a quiver in the night
The mountain seeks no brightness
Nor dark, nor dusk, nor light
III. Lost in the Trees
I’m lost in the trees
Trying to find myself
I’m lost in the trees, stripped of my pelt
I lost my compass, I burned my map
I buried my hatchet, I ate my hat
I’m scrumbling through the bush and I’m eating bear meat
I’ve walked so far there’s no skin on my feet
I’m lost in the trees
Crying for help
I’m lost in the trees, I can’t lose myself
I’m crunching acorns and drinking from flowers
I’m starving to death, I won’t last an hour
Buzzards circle high, so high in the sky
Could be choked down and shat out in the blink of his eye
IV. The Eagle
Higher than the highest cloud
The eagle flies round and round
Golden wings diamond eye
Best to freeze till eagle pass by
Makes a nest in the tallest tree
Rules the bounds ‘tween sun and sea
No thing soars quite so high
Eagle lords the land and sky
V. The Snowman
I climb from the Valley of No Man’s Land
I seek a peak where few can stand
I wanna kiss the sky wanna shake the cloud’s hand
But what’s coming down the mountain?
It’s a hairy hairy snowman
He screams avalanche then comes rolling through
Bounds across the snowfield in a leap or a few
He holds my eye and then thwack (TRANSCENDENCE),
I know too
Like the mountain and the trees and eagle and do
He’s here, he’s there. He’s gone. He’s where?
Take a breath become the mist
Flash of lightning, feeling of bliss
Howl in the sun in that rarified air
All you gotta do is be aware
He’s here, he’s there. He’s gone. He’s where?
All is changing, all’s unchanging
